If I have learned anything since I began this site it's that at least once a week a small Newspaper somewhere in the English-speaking world will feature a story on ghost hunters. The headline will always have a word in quotations like "ghost" or "spirit" which, I believe, is the reporter's way of saying I don't buy any of it. A lot of bad puns will usually be followed by cheeky banter worthy of a talking head TV news report. If the article originated in the US there is an 80% chance it will mention the movie Ghostbusters.

Is it the Editor's fault that they are always cheesy? I can hear a Jonah Jameson type guy sitting behind a desk "I got you a story about some ghost hunters and I smell whimsy in this, you hear? Whimsy!

I am just thankful there are lots of sites like TAPS that take sightings seriously.
